Side projects

Throughout my career I've engaged in several personal projects. Every project in this selection holds personal significance for different reasons, while some also organically gained traction.

Brazilian Tragedy

Overview

While thousands of Brazilians were dying during the Covid-19 pandemic, Jair Bolsonaro, the Brazilian President, was making absurd statements, denying the virus, campaigning against vaccination, and encouraging the population to not protect themselves against the virus. The result was more than 650,000 deaths in two years.

Tragédia Brasileira (Brazilian Tragedy) project had dual objectives: to visually depict the gravity of the numbers during a time when figures lost their individual impact and to underscore the absurdity of the statements made by the Brazilian President, placing them in the context of the already substantial number of deaths.

Grêmio On This Day

Overview

The project Grêmio Hoje (Grêmio On This Day) aimed to present the history of Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense in a unique manner. With individual entries for every day of the year, the project chronicles in diary form all the major events in Grêmio's history.

Upon its launch, the project gathered significant attention on blogs, social networks and traditionl media and was highlighted for two consecutive days on the oldest sports radio talk show in Brazil, Sala de Redação.

In 2012, I received an invitation to transform the project into a book.
